Corona seems to have a lot of potential. Considering you did not make any customizations to the base code for the different screens that is a bonus. So does this mean you will be using Corona instead of Adobe Air for future mobile projects?? Keep up the good work.

regards Mike :)

Re: Deathrace beta 3

nice. cant u point to some tutorial or share ur knowledge to create something similar.

Re: Match 3 game beta 1

hello there,

bejeweled clone is quite ease to to (I have done myself one, and I am saying about the version without blocking interface while diamonds are falling)

but the only one problem I couldnt manage to solve is "NO MORE MOVES" problem.

I think it`s quite difficult to choose such new diamond so "NO MORE MOVES" will no appear.

(when it comes to do game with BLOCKING interface while diamonds are falling - I think it would be easy to solve)

If you have any idea, will be good to hear ;)

Re: More Particles in M2D (molehill)

Looks very nice. But actually after looking at the code I have to say, that this is anything than flexible and the same particlegroup is rendered many times with just a different position and timeoffset. So its maybe not that good for games.

Anyway, its impressive whats possible and you have coded. Well done ;-)

Re: Space Burn beta 5

Looks promising! :)
But it seems that you are all using the same assets :P
http://leebrimelow.com/flash/S...

Cheers

Re: Space Burn beta 5

this is madness! Looks great.

Re: Simple preloader for AS3 Flash Builder projects

This is exactly the same to that in FlashDevelop if we create a new project with "AS3 Project with Preloader" template isn't it?

Re: Simple preloader for AS3 Flash Builder projects

I like to use compiler arguments instead of metadata to avoid Flex bloat. It also gets rid of the annoying css warning. The newer versions of Flex don't add as much bloat anymore, but I still prefer to avoid it altogether. -frame=start,MyProject (where MyProject is the fully qualified class name of the main class)

Re: Simple preloader for AS3 Flash Builder projects

Hi,

If you are getting the annoying warning about a missing default CSS file and want to suppress it:
1- add a blank file named Main.css
2- add "-defaults-css-url=Main.css" (no quotes) to the compiler arguments.
No more warning and happy coding!

Cheers,

J.

Re: Simple preloader for AS3 Flash Builder projects

Yep, I wanted to use the same, but faced millions of pre-runtime errors in flash. So another guy here in team suggested putting empty default.css in src folder, because this bootstrap triggers some CSS flex includes. No help. On the net you can find tips referencing flex.swc. No help. Other colleague of mine suggested compiler directive which should help. No help for me!!! Hate it. This should be first article on Adobe devnet, reflecting or possible problems. Instead we use this undocumented terrible stuff - and ... I envy you that it works fine for you. I had to go back to preload into small swf, which I hate... I hoped to find some new tips here, but my code is basically identical.

Oh, I am talking about AS3 project in FB, 4.5.0 SDK .. no Flex..

Re: Simple preloader for AS3 Flash Builder projects

I use pretty much the same way http://blog.yoz.sk/2011/01/usi...

Re: Simple preloader for AS3 Flash Builder projects

Yay Pat-orials finally :-D

(Paton ...
